WARTIME EVACUEE

"My father-in-law Brian Charles FRANKLIN  was evacuated to Park Lane Sulgrave during the Second World War with his older brother Stanley.  Brian won 1st prize for easy writing and was presented with a book called ‘Fifty Miles Around Sulgrave’ by the Vicar of Sulgrave. on August 7th 1941.  Does anyone know the names of the people Brian and Stanley stayed with?
Any information gratefully received.  It is thought that the people they stayed with may have been relations.  This Franklin line can be traced back to a John Franklin at Greatworth.

Hi Colin,

Talking to my husband about his father.  He thinks that Brian and his brother went to Banbury Grammar School not the village school.  I thought that the 2B by Brian name in the book might have referred to the form Brian was in.  Brian seems to have been good at English and writing essays.
