THE VILLAGE INNS
Back to "130 Years in Photographs" Home Page

There were once three inns in Sulgrave: the Star and the Three Compasses in Manor Road (formerly Great Street) and the Six Bells in Church Street. Magpie Farm, half a mile or so west of the village was once a Drovers' Inn. The Three Compasses closed before the Great War and the Six Bells closed in the late 1950s. The Star Inn is still going strong!
