SULGRAVE SOUP KITCHEN - FEBRUARY 2009

Delicious midday fare served in the Church Hall on a monthly basis by Sulgrave "Foodsmiths" Maureen Jeffery and Janet Smith. A different "theme" is adopted each month and the February event celebrated US Presidents' Day. Originally this holiday marked George Washington's birthday but this was changed to Presidents' Day in the 1980s.

For the soup there was a choice of Boston Seafood Chowder or New England Roast Butternut Squash, followed by American Apple Pie with Custard or Cream.
